Re: Why is v2024 so so slow (mostly"Not Responding")?
I am experiencing the same problem. I installed the latest version yesterday and the program is still not usable. "Synchronize Service" and "Building Thumbnails" have not finished after about 24 hours or more... This is very disappointing. I have been using Photo Supreme like forever and have ...

Re: Why is v2024 so so slow (mostly"Not Responding")?
Moving to the laptop with a fast SSD seems to have solved the usability issue. It still seems to do something for about 20 to 30 seconds on start up, but doesn't tell me what.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Why is v2024 so so slow (mostly"Not Responding")?
Thanks for your reply. I've not tried doing anything yet as I've not had access to the computer since I read it.
The separate hard disk with the catalog & thumbnail database is an internal one but a good(?) old fashioned SATA spinny one (I think around 150 MB/s read/write). I'd been thinking the ...

Why is v2024 so so slow (mostly"Not Responding")?
I upgraded from v6 to 2024 & v2024 seems to spend most of its time "Not Responding" & continuously reading/writing data on the separate HDD that has all of the PS catalog database & thumbnails database.

Re: Versioning Google Pixel RAW + JPG images
So, in the absence of replies, I did a test & it worked fine (at least until Google mess with the filenames again). :D
It also helped me confirm the change of style in v2024 to indicate versioned images - a coloured bar down the right & a hamburger menu rather than the numbered tabs (as the manual ...

Versioning Google Pixel RAW + JPG images
I can now shoot RAW + JPG images with my Google Pixel 6a (&, presumably, later versions of the Pixel phone) &, at the moment at least, it is probably my most frequently used camera as it is always in my pocket. Google have decided to complicate things in an update, after initially giving the files ...

Re: How ugrade from V2023 to V2024?
A related upgrade question (albeit from V6).
We use a Run command to launch PS so that it points to a common folder to pick up profiles, etc. across windows logins (I just copied the entire PS folder to a shared location)

Ingest List - what is it?
Every time I launch PS6 (currently on v 6.4.3923) I get "Ingest List" for 20 to 30 seconds at the bottom left of the program window & PS isn't keen on doing anything until that has finished.
What is it & why is it doing/ looking for something? Can I stop it doing whatever it is doing? It doesn't ...

Re: A couple of questions on description information
Copy & paste seems to work OK using Windows 10 (Pro 20H2, OS build 19042.928) with PSU (v6.1.0.3685) & notepad as the text editor. That suggests it is a Mac thing or, at least, a Mac/PSU thing.

Re: Using Standalone version with multiple logins
Will all the other things such as import profiles profiles be found too by default?
If not how can I share them between the two logins so everything ends up in the same folders with the same copyright info, etc?
Thanks

Using Standalone version with multiple logins
I have PSU on my computer & up until now I have always done the ingesting & sorting of files. Now I want to let my partner join in the fun :D

Re: JPEG / RAW different folder on import?
I use the following code as the last part of my Subfolder import path which puts the RAWs into their own subfolder. Note the last item in the brackets is 2x ' rather than a single ". If you also want to put JPGs in their own subfolder then it just needs the name of the folder between the 2 's ...

Re: Sorting order changes by itself
On a related note, it would be useful to be able to set the default sorting. For example my preference would be to set the default so that Portfolios always sort by Photo Date, currently I do that manually for every Portfolio created (they usually have images from multiple devices so filenames are ...

Re: Issues with versioning in 4.1
I'm finding the same with v4.1.0.1486.
"Version detection" will only work on a single pair of RAW + JPG files & sometimes not then. If I select more files no more than one pair gets versioned.
I also find I'm having to run Verify Folder multiple times on the same folder to get all the RAW files ...
