Changing the File Extension

When renaming files, is there a way to change the file extension to lowercase? For example changing Filename.DNG to Filename.dng. I can see an option to extract the Original File Extension and change that to lowercase, but I can't see a way to remove or change to file extension.

Re: Two Maps Two Results

Thank you Hert. I didn't realise either map could be toggled between 2D and 3D. Now they agree with each other.

Two Maps Two Results

I took a reference photo on my iPhone for the GPS coordinates. Here, the map on the left is from Google and the right is from PSU. I know where I was standing when I took the photo. It was exactly where Google shows the red pin.
Any ideas why the two pins show different places?

Re: Color Management on Mac?

I don't want to get into a Windows vs Apple discussion, but I know quite a few professional Photographers who do use Macs with Apple displays. I also know another who spent a fortune building a custom go faster PC with an EIZO display. He's had nothing but problems, crashing, freezing and malware.

Re: Color Management on Mac?

Are you sure that the iMac 27" Retina Display can actually be calibrated correctly? Have you spoken to X-Rite? (I personally use EIZO monitors with the X-Rite i1 Display calibrator.) A little off topic, but an interesting question which I'll investigate further. However, I am able to produce excell...

Re: Color Management on Mac?

BTW; the folder may be protected but you have the password as super user (sudo -s) Finally got round to trying the -s option, but it appears this isn't possible either... Mikes-iMac:~ Mike$ sudo -s cp /Users/Mike/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/iMac_D65_201711301119.icc /System/Library/ColorSync/Profile...

Re: Building Thumbnails - Twice

Adding to the above: Whist this was happening, click on another folder and PSU aborted with an Access Violation (0). So, I began redoing the entire operation again, but splitting the 1243 import into smaller batches. The same thing is happening - the Activity showing Convert Metadata to XMP, Synchro...

Building Thumbnails - Twice

Immediately after importing a batch of images, I execute the Convert Metadata to XMP command. Most times, this quickly runs through the entire batch as expected. Other times however, it chooses to rebuild some of the thumbnails. This should be unnecessary and it slows down the process considerably. ...

Re: Image loading file size limit

A suggestion for better phrasing of the tip is more than welcome! How about... Maximum File Size This option defines the maximum size for images that you want Photo Supreme to process thumbnails for. If Photo Supreme encounters a file that is larger than this size, it will not generate its own thum...

Re: Image loading file size limit

Hert, there's a lot of ambiguity in that tool tip. However, here's and update... After over an hour the updated thumb appeared and the CPU activity dropped to 0%. After restarting PSU, I then Compacted the Current Catalog (which took only a minute or so) an then performed a full Backup (which took 1...

Image loading file size limit

I have a few TIF and PSD files larger than 1GB and noticed than one of the PSDs wasn't getting a thumbnail. At least that's what I first thought. I tried adjusting "Image loading file size limit" from 400MB to the maximum setting of 999MB and, after some considerable time, the thumb appeared. On ref...

Re: Color Management on Mac?

Quite so, and thanks for reminding me of the -s option. I've filed a feature request, http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=3184, and hope you can implement this in the next version.

Re: Color Management on Mac?

OK Hert, I appreciate your feedback, but wouldn't it be better if either PSU looked in the correct user folder, or PSU used the services provided by the OS, then perhaps it would be possible to manage the printer too (including selecting paper size and paper profile)?

Re: Color Management on Mac?

As a workaround...copy the color profile file that you need from the Mac folder (that PSU currently doesn't check in) to the folder that PSU does check. The folder names are mentioned in the Mantis ticket It's not possible to do this, because the destination folder is protected. In an case, as ment...
