Re: Collection Viewer is blank
For example I've just selected "see all 628 images" under Timeline on the left. The Collection Viewer has a single tab at the top reading "States (All)" and the main bar at the top of the Collection Viewer has the has the usual icons for Filter and so on and then reads "states (All)" with "628 ...

Collection Viewer is blank
I hope this is a very basic question. I've just switched catalogs and now have a completely blank Collection Viewer. Whatever I select in the Catalog Area (on the left) the Collection Viewer is still blank. For example, if I select "see all images" under Timeline or if I select any Category the ...

Re: Resizing (downsizing) photos
Thanks for your replies.
Thumbnail/preview space is not a problem.
I'm fairly sure I want to downsize the photos that are in the Catalog. I've had a quick look at the price of laptops with discs > 1TB and I don't think I can justify spending that much. (Screen-sized copies are adequate for most of ...

Resizing (downsizing) photos
Is there an option to resize photos in the Catalog (so that they take less disc space)? The only resize option that I've found is in Export.

Re: Metadata not saved to many jpg files
On the ExifTool forum Hert and others have helped me to identify corrupt metadata entries in problem photos and have encouraged me to think about my workflow. I then realised that the problem does not affect recent photos (those taken in the last 30 months), so it seems likely that something in my ...

Re: Metadata not saved to many jpg files
That's an interesting suggestion. Thanks, Geoff.
When I have time, I'll try to see if I can do it. I may need to come back for help in knowing exactly what to put in the batch file. Up to now, I've been using ExifToolGui, selecting all the photos in a folder, then entering that command in the ...

Thanks G8DHE for your reply.
I've now remembered that I've encountered this (or a similar) issue before. If I remember correctly, I found a workaround using ExifTool to edit the metadata so that Windows does see the tags. (The magic ExifTool command is '-xmp-microsoft:all= -m')

Re: Two or more metadata edits in quick succession possibly causing OneDrive sync erors
I posted the original question. My workaround was to move the photos folder used by PSu out of OneDrive (to a subfolder of the C drive) and to use separate tools to sync to a copy on OneDrive.

Metadata not saved to many jpg files
I have noticed that, while for the majority of photos the Catalog Labels that I have applied are recognised by Windows Explorer, for many photos the "Tags" column in Windows Explorer is blank. (Star Ratings that I have applied in PSu do appear in Windows Explorer.)

Re: Unable to eject USB discs when Photo Supreme is running
Thanks Geoff. However, I would much prefer an option ("Preference") for PSU to ignore external drives altogether. (From the previous discussion I imagine some other users would feel the same.)

Re: Unable to eject USB discs when Photo Supreme is running
There is a 3 years old entry in Mantis describing this issue:
<http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=2809>
I don't have access to Mantis. Is there a prospect that we shall eventually have an option (such as an option for Photo Supreme to ignore external drives) that will allow an external disc ...
