I had overlooked the many things that Share can do, will have to give it a closer look.
On a related topic, I noticed the just because an image has been assigned to an area, it is not confirmed until I expressly do that extra step.
1 can multiple images be confirmed at the same time?
2 besides ...

Re: catalog people label thumbnails
When I look in the People section of the Catalog tab, just to the left of each name is a small thumbnail. In the Details of each name, the specific thumbnail to be displayed can be selected.
What I would like to produce and print is a list of the names with their associated thumbnail.
Then when I ...

catalog people label thumbnails
Now that I have identified and confirmed quite a few people in many images, is there a way to export a list of people with their associated image as well as a list of the pictures where they are found?

Re: sporadic unresponsive issues
The images are on a networked TerraStation. During a PSu session, there should be enough activity to keep it awake.
The virus scanner has been told to ignore both the PSu app folder, the catalog folder, both on internal drives, as well as the external image drive.
Up to 30 seconds? hmmm, OK I ...

Still having sporadic unresponsive issues.
Usually it happens when quickly updating or assigning labels to existing images. Sometimes it returns to a responsive state, other times I can wait overnight and still nothing.

Re: file not found and cannot open file
Had a closer look at the antivirus settings since there are two computers that can access the image drive and both have active antivirus scanning enabled. The image drive was excluded on one computer but not on the other. That has been corrected. Now to wait and see if that solves the issue.

file not found and cannot open file
After an evening session adding labels to a newly imported folder (7139 items) I let the Synchronize Service work overnight. It was the only thing active on the network. And yet it would constantly stop and complain about an Error: Verification Service "cannot open file" and later in the same ...

Re: why a Google API
While most of that metadata is nice to have, it is not really needed for most of my cases.
Looked at the Google Vision pricing model and while 1000 units per MONTH are free, everything beyond that starts to add up. On a slow day I make more images than that on vacation. Not to be cheap but at that ...

For images that have geo-coordinates, on the GEO tag tab, near the bottom right is a an icon "show coordinates on Google Maps(tm) ..." which when pressed opens an instance of google maps with the coordinates highlighted.

Re: more not responding
While obvious at my end, not so for others. The local disk with the current images also hosts the PSu databases. And that is all that is on that disk. And yes that whole disk is exempt from automatic virus scanning. I do scan it manually from time to time. There is also plenty of space left on it ...

Re: more not responding
Just updated to build 6450.
Resumed adding labels to existing images. After a few folders were done, I selected the next set and pointed to the appropriate label value for them all when PSu went into (Not responding) mode. I think the previous set was still synching. Checking in Task Manager, there ...
