Re: Limited to 25000?

I believe that the trial is the same as the full version. Somebody here will be able to explain it better, but 25,000 appears to be a magic number, although you can have far more images in your database. If you point to the root, then it will not display more than 25,000 images. I would suggest to s...

Re: Filter or search by custom field

"Catalog - By Image Details" that's the best way for me, thanks. I had forgotten it and I rarely use macros.

Filter or search by custom field

I wish to filter or search by custom field named "sent". When used, this field is filled with a date in the format yyyy-mm-dd

The goal is to find images send this year i.e. 2017 or maybe a few months ago 2017-03 or specifically 2017-03-20

Any ideas which be the best way please?

Re: [Solved] PS Server symbolic link to keep image library path consistent

Welcome here!
You might like to know that in the folder view, even if it is pointing to a drive, you can right click (under Mac) and "map to the correct physical folder".

Re: Does Photo Supreme export gifs

You can also use the share function and either by using the manage button or by right clicking on any symbol (using Mac, maybe Windows too) you can set the desired parameters, including adding a watermark.

Re: batch file format conversion fails to save metadata

I have some TIF files with metadata all populated, including faces. Once I convert to jpg, the metadata is there, but the face/region info is not. So I've lost the people identification, but everything else seems to be there. You possibly need to start a new topic so the "faces" does not get lost i...

Re: Unable to eject USB discs when Photo Supreme is running

This is a known issue. PSu is monitoring file changes and as soon as a drive is attached, PSu will start monitoring it causing the disk to be in use. (2) Why does PSu even need to monitor a drive that is not part of its database??? This is beyond me! I'm just guessing, but maybe PSu is preparing fo...

Rename rules when importing - templates not saving

I’m doing some filing and using templates which have not been used for some time. One of them inserts the field “T EventName” which I believe changed to “%EventName” some time back. However, when I open the template, make the changes and save it, the first use (import of images) works correctly. Aft...

Re: Unable to eject USB discs when Photo Supreme is running

I don't know how often this happens daily, but if this frequently affects your workflow, then I agree that it's undesirable. I rarely use a USB drive and have never noticed this. PSu possibly have some competitive secrets which they do not want to divulge and which cause this. You could naturally fi...

Re: Unable to eject USB discs when Photo Supreme is running

Can the problem not be solved simply by exiting PSu? If not then I cannot solve the problem regarding USB drives / sticks. However, SD cards are probably better copied to a hard drive first and then imported into any program. It's one step more, but much safer.

Re: Geotagging using GPX woes

You are both ahead of me because I don't use geotagging. However, as I often change time zones, the first photo I take on arrival in any new country is a shot of my wristwatch. It sometimes helps sorting things later as we usually adjust our watches sooner than the camera clock(s).

Re: Workflow with C1 (Capture One)

In fact, I too mentioned that these 2 applications don't communicate well, which rather obviated going into more detail. PSu and C1 do not communicate well with each other so I would not rely on any meta data or colour and stars ratings to carry over in either direction. The GOOD news is that Captur...

Re: could remove from basket dialog be simplified?

Yes and no. Yes, if another option " remove from other collections and in which case, show me them? " option is provided. No, if that cannot be provided. It would possibly speed up things with just 3 options, I agree, but in my case if I remove image/s from one collection I sometimes want to remove ...

I see what you mean but, as you say, it's easy to add them in the thumbnails.

Re: Using a PSu catalog on two computers?

You surely have a reason why you use 2 computers. I do everything on a laptop, which is attached to a large monitor when back at base. That way there are no syncing issues.
