Re: Recommended process for importing from Aperture?

Test the free trial for "Aperture Exporter". I believe the full version cost only 15US$, which is a cheap divorce bill to leave an Apple product! AND search this forum for my thread. I'm sure that I explained it in detail, including the things not to do.

Re: Recommended process for importing from Aperture?

When I converted from Aperture a few years ago, I first used an app called Aperture Exporter. At the time PSu either didn't do what I want or I couldn't work out how to use the feature. My task is documented somewhere in this forum, but I'm about to travel so I cannot tell you where it is. Good luck.

Re: Multiple questions

I don't think there is a right or a wrong way. My line of thought from the outset was just to have everything catalogued in PSu initially*, even if images are not immediately edited (in C1 or whatever) and used. They are always in PSu for future use and can be found easily. * This also suited my wor...

One of the votes for 2160 above was made in error. In case this is relevant.

Re: Multiple questions

4. Is there a way to run a action (script I think) after import new Images? As example - PSU and C1 don't have switch or setting for "rejected" files. C1 known 7 color labels, PSU 5. So i would like use the 2 color labels from C1 to mark absolutely best and worst photos. So my idea I give in C1 one...

Re: What is your monitor's resolution?

Back at base my EIZO is 1920 x 1200 regularly calibrated and used professionally. The notebook taken on the road has a lower res, but is only used for editing in an absolute emergency.

I had to select 2160 in the survey above.

Re: Hide Photo Supreme

Under Mac, the F9 key will show all open windows on one page, which you can then select. Perhaps that helps?

Re: Color Management on Mac?

Sorry if it appears off topic, but it might be relevant to clarify this point first. I was not aware that any Mac display can be correctly hardware calibrated. I am also unaware of any photo agencies or art buyers using a Mac display.

I calibrate my iMac 27" Retina Display with an X-Rite ColorMonki every couple of weeks.
Are you sure that the iMac 27" Retina Display can actually be calibrated correctly? Have you spoken to X-Rite?

(I personally use EIZO monitors with the X-Rite i1 Display calibrator.)

We are on a Mac, using OS 10.7.5. Wondering if it might be a memory issue?
I might be the combination. I had this problem frequently when on 10.7.6
Do keep the tabs open in PSu down to a minimum. That might help.

Re: PSU and Capture One?

I don't get the point of a HiRES monitor, but that is your decision. If you are using a Mac, then you might be having a Font management problem which the OS does not do well. If you look in the FontBook.app you will see how many duplicate fonts are scattered around on your system. I had this problem...
