Yes, it did, and thank you very much for your quick reply, real fine. I unchecked the box, and will treasure the password, you never know.

But strangely, before I did, the problem had disappeared : I had closed PSU for a few hours, and when I opened it again, this time the default password was ...

Can I get rid of password ?

On installation, PSU created the database and the login box showed a password that was unknown (and invisible) to me. Though I didn't bother at first, I finally changed it (Tools/change…) to a personal one after a few days, because it seemed prudent to state it myself.
Maybe that wasn't a good idea ...

Yes, of course, you’re right, the information is already there ! I’m confusing between “by category” and “by image details”, that's stupid of me.

And my question wasn’t clear anyway I’m afraid. To be more precise, the category labels (mostly places) were what I expected to be automatically ...

Concerning my first post, I realize I should have listed a 3rd method, for it is evidently the best one as far as the original (I mean already documented) IPTC fields are concerned : it is simply using the media pro import feature ...
