Re: Technical data - Focal length

Is there an easy way to have the script output to a file (CSV) instead? The following is another solution. Are the fields one wants to export to CSV shown in Details? If not ... it is possible another Metadata Details "template" (templates may not be the exact term) contains the fields. Go to Detai...

Re: Technical data - Focal length

Here - when the "Full Exif Dump" script completes, the output is automatically selected so one just needs to copy. Having said that, none of my images contain GPSProcessingMode, so I am not sure if that is making a difference or not.

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

No, they are files from my phone. There were only 7 so I did them manually. See this topic: http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=24439 . This could be the reason why the files from the phone had to be done manually. Note the solution (which I would perform immediately after import). Note ...

Many thanks, but what is an ICS Scheme and do I need it for anything else?
See screenshot below. Found in Preferences - Synchronize Settings - Write settings. To view tool tips, click on the Tips button and float mouse over an item.

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

Is the RMC Metadata - Save Metadata to file not the same as Tools - save Metadata to file for all Out-of-Sync Images? It could very well be. In my way of thinking - by selecting and using Save Metadata to File - the user is being specific - thus the user has more control, and the process should be ...

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

Before you copy your images, right-click and choose Metadata - Save Metadata to File.

Re: labels and rating doesn't follow copied image

vkfoto - Under Preferences - Synchronize Settings, do you have "Automatically write out Catalog changes to the image file" enabled? Thus, during your workflow you are writing changes to either the image file or a sidecar file? If so, after the Paste to this Folder, select the files, and right-click ...

Re: beginner's questions: keywords, JPG+RAW etc

I have activated the trial version of Photo Supreme and I have some questions in mind: is it possible to export keyword lists from Photo Supreme to my desktop, in case I would like to import the list into another program? Go to the menu: Data - Export to Formatted Vocabulary File. is there a way to...

Re: PhotoSupreme Unexpectedly Quitting and/or Freezing

In my experience, on two Windows computers, one old (W7) with 12GB of memory and one new (W10) with 32GB of memory, once 50-60% of the memory is being used everything turns to molasses. In my simple mind this doesn't make sense. Maybe, molasses at 90%, but performance up to that amount shouldn't be ...

If your Date and Time Digitized field has already been corrected, try this:

Code: Select all

%exif:DateTimeDigitized{dateformat=yyyymmdd-hhmmss}

Re: Photos with only privat labels / keywords

If initially setting up a catalog / database, Jim's solution is perfect. If one has a combination of public and private labels / keywords, or initially set up the labels / keywords to be private (but are allowing the other metadata to be written), and wants to write those keywords to the file; one c...

Re: Photos with only privat labels / keywords

I use the private label / keyword feature for some of my labels / keywords.

The only problem I see (and there may be others) is if you want to locate a photo outside of Photo Supreme (using a keyword) or switch to another program to catalog the photos.

Re: Can I sort thumbnails by Date Created?

I'd still like a way to cascade the datecreated field into the exif:datetimeoriginal, but maybe I can find another program to do that. I believe there is a way you can do this within Photo Supreme. I tried it here and it appears to work. If you try this, please try on copies of copies, instead of o...

Re: Red Eye and zoom -> Access Violation

Over the years, I have seen the Access violation (0) error appear. It appeared the other day. Typically, I am just moving through my images, adding metadata via the Details panel, when it appears. My fix: I close out the database, wait a minute or two, open up the database, begin where I left off, a...

Re: PC Issues and PSU craches

If the metadata had been stored with the photo (either embedded or side car), I would create a new database and import or verify folder. (I realize that process could take a very long time.) Batches, Import Profiles, Rename Rules, .... aren't stored in the database from what I can tell. They are sto...
