Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

This is because the default created collection is out of order. For now, the easiest is to delete that collection (even if renamed) and ordering collections should work fine.

Re: PSu suddenly switched back to Day 1 of Trial

You probably deleted the license file from the Documents folder. Just download the license again from https://cp.idimager.com and then use the "I already have my license" option.

Re: Changing the File Extension

The new (suggested) file name is L1000621.dng.DNG. I'm beginning to think this yet another issue that is Mac specific. Its often the case with multi platform software. Windows always seems to get priority support. That's not true. PSU was built from the ground up for both platforms. And PSU uses an...

Re: 2605 or 2606 ?

PSU will never overwrite your catalog on installation. And when you download from the website then you can be sure that that is the latest version.

PS; when a release is only relevant for a small group of users then I may skip the webupdate system.

After that you can Verify the folder to find new content. Your newly added extension files should then be found.

Re: Two Maps Two Results

PSU also uses Google Maps and so there shouldn't be any difference. The confusion here comes from the 3D display. Switch the Map to 2D in PSU and you'll see the exact location as shown in the 2D map of Google Maps. And when switching to 3D in the Google Maps you'll see that the marker "floats" above...

Re: User Management

Users can be assigned the role of Administrator, Catalog Manager, or Catalog Browser. Since you want the users to tag the images you should assign them the Catalog Manager role. As Catalog Manager you can't further restrict them.

Re: Technical data - Focal length

The ASCII marker is followed by 3 0-characters, again followed by its value. That is how ASCII fields are stored. But PSU strips that for display but it will only do so when the Exif tag is marked as a text tag type (an ID separate from the value). Your phone probably doesn't mark the tag as a text ...

Re: Photo compression

Export to Folder is indeed the most obvious choice for this purpose. As resize method for the web, I recommend to use Lanczos. This is a high quality interpolation method that works for almost every possible photo, preventing moire effects etc.

Re: Image loading file size limit

The File Size Limit is only for loading the file. PSU won't even try loading the full image is the file size is above that limit. Also see the Tip for that field. This setting has no impact on your database size. Instead compact your database regularly (Tools->Catalog). That will reduce the database...
