Re: Automatic sync/import?

A warm welcome to the forums.
You probably already know that you can use "Verify Folder" to detect changes. PSU has no way to do that automatically

Re: Move database to new drive - PSU Server postgresql

Hi Michael,
First try a PSU backup/restore. Another option is that you backup the database with PGAdmin and then restore with PGAdmin on the client.
Don't forget to relocate afterwards

Re: Error: Not a writeable directory

Sounds like your temp folder is not writable (or full?). PSU configures SQLite to let SQLite use the temp folder of the OS. Perhaps you recently made changes to the computer? OS update...or security changes...or file system reconfiguration....or even a new hard drive?

Re: Adding a rating (sometimes?) causes tags and descriptions to disappear

Sound like you have a legacy of existing discrepancies between XMP and other metadata. Do this to fix your discrepancy: 1. Select thumb(s) 2. Right click 3. Select Metadata -> Convert Metadata to XMP PSU will then make sure that metadata from other sections (Exif/IPTC) is correctly converted to XMP....

Re: DXO to PSU nef thumbnail problem

How did you set DXO support in PSU's preferences? Disable it if you don't want it.

What do you mean with "graced out"? Afaik there's no way that thumbs are ever graded out. Can you add a screenshot?
Also check that you're not in travel mode.

Re: Trouble logging into Smugmug

Works fine here, but maybe not all servers contain their recent changes yet. Either way, if they made changes that broke compatibility then that's a pity.

Re: Strange unexplained behaviour

PSU will open TIF locally. Is your extension TIF or TIFF?
Also make sure that you don't have the TIF or TIFF extension added in Preferences-File Handling as a non image format.

Re: New User's Interface questions

There's no 25k catalog size limit in trial versions. David probably ran into the 25k *display* limit (macOS). This means that max 25k thumbs are displayed in a result set. Then again, what's the use of displaying that many thumbs. The whole point is to catalog and not having to resort to delving thr...
