Re: Portfolios + collections

Could it be that you have ICS writing switched ON? In that case the portfolio collection will also be written to the metadata...in the ICS schema

Re: beginner's questions: keywords, JPG+RAW etc

and last, for now, I have noticed that all my edits in Photo Supreme (keywords, rating etc) are properly manage in Capture One, except (1) colour tags and (2) keyword synonyms, which are not at all ported to C1. Is there a way to do this? They are written to XMP. Maybe C1 can explain why they are n...

The last supported version is currently SQLServer 2014. Of course newer versions might be supported in future updates.

Re: Buliding thumbnails never finishes

My first thought is that there's a corrupt image in the folder (or an image file that PSU has problems handling). Can you check that?
As it errors out, PSU will retry to build the thumb as it knows that it lacks a thumb for that file. That would explain the up and down progress

You can find the .cat file in your ~/Library folder. I can't look up the exact name of the folder now.

Re: Adding Affinity as an editor

You're not doing anything wrong. This is not likely related to PSU. You could check why a file can't be created in that folder. Is the disk read only? Is the disk full? Does the logged in user have write permissions? Can you create a file in that folder with Windows Explorer?

This is typically a DNS error. Try to google on the SQLServer error message. There are many possible solutions to be found.

Re: Cropped CO images not correct in PSu

From how you describe it, your image was not only edited with CO but also with LR...and there are LR edits in the metadata of the file. Many tool can’t read those and hence shows the full size image. But PSU and LR can interpret these edits and will show the LR edited photo. Two options; 1- remove t...

WIll this work properly if files are first copied from the memory card to another drive and then imported into PSu from that new location?
For PSU the source file is whatever you point it to. For those files the archive flag is set after copying with PSU's Import Module.

Re: Images previously imported still marked for import

PSU uses the archive flag of your files to determine the initial marked state. After copying a file to your system then PSU alters the archive flag of the original file on your memory card. Could it be that you made the memory card read only or any other possible reason why the archive flag of a fil...
