Re: Categories - little flags

Having done a little checking, I am fairly sure that I did it like this: - create a backup of my catalog (for safety) - created a new, empty catalog - opened PSU with that catalog (if I wasn't already) - clicked on data>export to formatted vocabulary file - closed PSU - opened PSU with my original, ...

Re: Categories - little flags

I did that by creating a new, empty, catalog, which creates the contry entries/flag icons by default. Then I migrated or copied them to my "real" catalog - but I don't recall how I did that, apologies! But it is possible, because I did it! I seem to recall they were in a separate part of my catalog ...

Re: License activation

Hi Robiwan I disagree, but I am speaking of a conceptual level. In that perspective - to all intents and purposes - libraries are simply collections. Metafolders if you like. But this forum is probably not the place to discuss finer (or not so fine!) points of Windows, was just trying to help OP und...

Re: License activation

Hert's advice should fix your problem, but for further explanation - I assume you are talking Windows here (I have never used Mac): The demented mind of someone at microsoft decided that they would have a system of "libraries" - a library being a virtual area that can include various shortcuts to re...

Re: V4 Pricing

Thanks KeesdH. I did not receive any email afaik, and that info is not on the home page nor the pricing page unless I missed it. It is referenced on the upgrade policy page, which is reached by a link from the bottom of the product page, which I found after searching harder when I read your post! (D...

V4 Pricing

Hert, suprised you didn't announce V4 in the forums? Anyway, a question re pricing - is there a discount, as has been the case in the past, for V3 licence holders, or is the only discount available the time-limited one that ends on Feb 20th? And just for confirmation, I take it that as per previous ...

Re: What are you prefered GEO Location settings?

Not sure where that setting is in PSU? But regardless, it's personal preference really. And there's no reason why your GPS in whatever device would not be accurate enough for location level. (My own usage is to record a GPX track file using a smartphone app, as has been mentioned in another thread r...

Re: Someone with UltraTag+Pro Vocabulary here?

Presumably due to the database used for reverse lookups - see http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=24411 . It might be nice to have the option to use a different data source but I accept that (a) it may not be feasible for a number of reasons and (b) some data sources may be good for some ...

Re: PSU default categories?

Thanks Mke. I'll give that a whirl. Looks like a good one. Would have come in handy back in June - going on holiday my phone fell out of my pocket in the taxi to the airport so i was phoneless on holiday - had to lug my 'droid tablet everywhere to track my walks and struggled to find a good tracking...

Re: PSU default categories?

Mke, not sure that narrows it down much - at least 4 apps with that name came up on Google Play! Who is the dev please? I've tried a few free ones but not all of them played nicely with PSU (at least not without manual editing of the XML). I always use GPX files BTW. Normally I use my Windows Phone ...

Re: "Map" tab

Hi Andrea, welcome. If your image has lat and long co-ordinates - i.e. it is geotagged - you can selct the thumbnail, right click and select "display on map"; or to pull up the location in a browser, open the geotag panel (which is the primary way of manipulating and viewing geo metadata) and click ...

Hert, do you need me to raise a Mantis ticket - or I could simply re-open the existing one?

Re: Flickr authentication issue

Yes I often have linefeeds in my descriptions. So having read your post I did some testing. Having a linefeed* in the description certainly has an effect - the error message** returned is different. But in fact the only way I could get the image to load was by having no description whatsoever. Havin...
