Stephen - I have another post that discusses some issues I have had with keyword error /duplication, but I don't think that is your issue specifically.
1. I import all photos to C1, do edits but no keywording or other "descriptions" in C1 - I just export the edited images to a new folder and then ...

Re: Filters - Black Screen
What I did was try to open the filter icon above the browser, where I would have then put in some text - not click on a favorite in the Favorites tab.
I had so many favorites because I have a lot of catalog labels and was clicking the gold star to keep track of which ones I had reviewed for ...

Re: Filters - Black Screen
I deleted all the favorites and this seems to have fixed the problem. I had over 100 and maybe closer to 200. Not an issue to have to clean this up occasionally but to delete a favorite you have to do it one by one. There does not appear to be a way to "remove all favorites".

Filters - Black Screen
When I click on the Filter Rectangle in the Browser window, the screen goes black. To get out of it, I have to click anywhere on the black screen. It then seems to have arbitrarily picked a catalog label to use as a filter. The only way to delete the filter is to open a new browser tab and delete ...

Re: Unexpected Labels
Mike - Thanks. I responded before too quickly and agree it is likely not a synonyms issue and more likely it is keywords already embedded in the image.
I am following each of your steps -many thanks, very helpful - and will report back.

Unexpected Labels
I have been adding Catalog Labels to all my images (about 19,000 images in about 200 folders). It is all working very well with one exception that may be some type of user error. For example, I will select say 3 images and assign say two labels to each. Then I select say 2 other images and assign ...

Re: Photo Supreme and Capture One 9
HCS - Thanks. I think that will do it. I had it set for elementary and not approximate. Not sure if there is any way to tell what edits are recognized by PS, but I guess if I really wanted to significantly adjust the image, I would open it in CO and then export the variant and then verify the folder ...

Re: Photo Supreme and Capture One 9
I thought I had updated this but must not have hit the "submit" button.
Hert was correct. I had two versions of CO on my computer - Version 8 and Version 9. PS was trying to open the Version 9 Catalog with Version 8 - so I got the error message. So I deleted CO Version 8 and this issue went away ...

Re: Photo Supreme and Capture One 9
Thanks for this guidance.
I got it to work but in a slightly different manner. When I have time I will expand this post to explain.

Photo Supreme and Capture One 9
I use PS for image management and CO9 for image editing. After now having imported and labeled all images (about 19,000+) I tried to open an image in Capture One 9 from within PS. I selected the image and then clicked on the CO icon on the upper right. CO9 started to open and then I received a ...

Re: Import Missing Folders - Problem
Thanks for the comments. Appears some things just take awhile to complete (and show the "application not responding" message). I will allow the program to keep running and see if this is the issue.

Import Missing Folders - Problem
I have added some new folders with images to an existing folder, the existing folder already exists in PS.
I have tried to add the new folders to the PS catalog by taking the following actions on the top level folder: (1) scanning for missing folders; (2) verifying this folder; (3) and reimporting ...

Re: Rename Files - Does not seem to work
Stephen - When either in Catalog or Folder view, I right click the image. A dialog box opens and at the bottom the last option is "Locate in Finder". Selecting this opens a small Finder window with the image name highlighted. I then simply change the name. It is immediately also changed in PS. Then ...

Re: Rename Files - Does not seem to work
Following on to last post, I do find that if I right click an image, open in Finder, and change the name, the revised name is reflected correctly in PS
