Re: Looking for a tip: Found an image via search > what's the most reliable way to get to the image folder?
Well, if it's just to go to the folder of the selected image, then you have the "Anzeigen in Windows Explorer"-menu-item (Shift+O) available...

Re: Easy Filtering?
By the way Hert, may I also request a small change within the Filter-menu?
If the stored favorites from the Dynamic Sear panel exceeds PSu's window height, the menu entries on the bottom of the menu just can be reached via scrolling:

Re: Easy Filtering?
"Filter By Advanced Search" is an *additional filter* that combines with the other filter bar settings.
I would not even use the Filter Bar...go straight to Advanced Search (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F on Windows) and find whatever you need...
Thank you Hert, that was an useful hint: *additional* :D ...

Re: Easy Filtering?
Am I overlooking something?
You are :)
For that sort of thing you'd be better off using the Dynamic Search panel.
Thanks Mke for your suggestion. Involving the Dynamic Search panel (DSP) will do the job, but won't make my life easier. DSP is the most generalistic search approach and for my ...

Easy Filtering?
PSu's searching and filtering capabilities are unmatched and way beyond my needs. Still I sometimes feel, that easy filtering tasks I would need, are hard to achieve. Example?
For cataloging & detailled labelling I often try to segment the picture-list in a first step:
just show pictures taken ...

Re: Triangle in catalog label corner? [solved]
They appear because you've set a custom color (grey) as the background for the category. If you like the idea, then you can set different custom colors for each of the default top-level categories in PSU (events, people, etc). If you dislike the feature, set the custom color transparent and the ...

Triangle in catalog label corner? [solved]
What's the meaning of the small triangle in the upper left corner of the catalog labels? I tried to look it up in PSu's help document, but didn't find an answer - beside the pictures of green & grey labels? Mine all are in grey...

Re: Long duration for upgrade v2024 to v2025
Upgraded from a PSu V7.x Version to 2025 and can confirm, that this step took a while (also over night ;-). Also very suprising for me, as in all past upgrades everything has been processed within seconds and minutes...

Re: Portfolios and versions
I am also not too fond of the newer, colored instead of the previous tabbed display of an expanded version set. I find it confusing.
I agree on that. It did not improve over the old implementation...
Imaging you have a version set with two images, one has a 2 star rating, and one has a 3 star ...

Applying a border/frame to a picture via batcher?
There's a nice & easy way in PSu to add a border/frame to a picture via the batcher. Unfortunately I cannot do it in the way I want my picture to look like...
What I want to achieve is a simple border either in black or in white - simply depending on my personal taste.

Re: Correct inavlid meta data: how to restore file name in xmp:dc:title?
Playing around with Exif-Tool to find a field, which still holds the correct value of the filename revealed the following 3 fields:
- EXIF:DocumentName
- IPTC:ObjectName
- XMP:PreservedFileName
I found no suitable built-in functionality in the in PSu's metadata or scripts menu, so I da a look in ...

[solved] Correct inavlid meta data: how to restore file name in xmp:dc:title?
Due to a faulty import script I invalidated a lot of my photos :(. Instead of leaving the field "dc:title" blank (with no changes) I stamped a lot of my pictures with a specific value.
So what's the correct an easiest way of recovering the metadata for "xmp:dc:title" in PSu? In my case the title ...

Re: How to Copy/Paste Photos?
Hi Mike,
there is the possibility to setup file bases sharing. You can do that with PSu's Share-functionality at the lower right menu-bar.
