Thanks

Re: fuzzy font

Any update on this? Of course it is great that now high-resolution monitors are supported, but less so if that means PSu looks crappy on a low res monitor. I cannot really afford to buy a new monitor just because PSu now supports them. besides, the EIZO that I have is really a great monitor covering...

Re: launch exiftoolGUI from within PSU

FWIW, I'm running Windows 10 Home and PSU 4 and I have a shortcut to ExifToolGUI in PSU that I put there long ago (in a previous version of PSU) but haven't used in ages. I tried it just now and it worked flawlessly. I'm using version 3.38 of ExifToolGUI and version 9.75 of ExifTool. Well, I am run...

Re: launch exiftoolGUI from within PSU

Are you running the latest version of ExifTool? Yes. Where is ExifTool.exe located? In the ExifToolGui folder or C:\WINDOWS? C:\ExifTool\ It works perfect on Windows, if the option to always run it as administrator is enabled or if the shortcut is configured to run it as administrator. BUT that is ...

Re: launch exiftoolGUI from within PSU

PS: I know that under Compatibility there is an option to run any program per default as an administrator. Unfortunately, when I enable that option, Windows comes up with a prompt still asking me every time if I really want to do it. Yes, of course, else I would not have configured it that way (dooo...

launch exiftoolGUI from within PSU

Hi all, this is only indirectly related to PSU, but I thought I still ask the question. Perhaps someone has an answer... For years I have been using ExifToolGUI. It was extremely convenient to launch the tool directly from within PSU just by adding it as an external application. For some reason sinc...

fuzzy font

Dear Hert, this is not really a bug, so I am not sure if to report it in Mantis. Still, it is increasingly "bugging" me (pun intended ): I love the new version 4 interface, much cleaner! Unfortunately it seems that the rendering of fonts works somewhat different, which is especially noticea...

Re: GPS Country Codes

OK, perhaps "annoyed" was too strong. Personally I think the three-letter codes make more sense, but find it a nuisance that there are two different standards...

Re: GPS Country Codes

Hi RobiWan, while it is possible to use Apply Detail Profiles to do this, there are two aspects you may want to consider: These codes are also automatically assigned if you configured PSu to auto-generate labels by reverse Geo-lookup. And in that case three-letter codes are being assigned, which is ...

Re: For those who like a functional rating bar

That star is part of PSU's default rating system. If you have not rated an image you can hover over the area, where this star will appear, a small arrow appears, you click on that arrow to open a rating bar and assign the star(s). Once you thus assigned a rating to your image, the star with the numb...

Re: GPS Country Codes

Just had a look at Wikipedia: "ISO 3166-1 alpha-2" refers the two letter codes, apparently they are the codes "most widely used" and apparently also the country top level domain used on the internet (though there are many such as .com, .edu etc. in the US, where that does not really apply) "ISO 3166...

Re: Thinking about a workflow

What's the best way to manage the converted files. Import a derivate file into PSU and catalog this file? I would use a file naming convention, to designate the files edited/modified by your raw converter (e.g., add "_C1" to the file name if your file was generated by C1) and then use PSU's version...

Re: Label Relationships?

Actually, there is a way to set this up already, using metadata templates (i.e., via "apply detail profile"...). It is a bit cumbersome though, because you will need to specifically edit all those labels to assign other, related labels via metadata templates. Probably not really what you want and it...
