Re: Laptop as primary PSU home?
Once you have downloaded the license code file, copy it to your Documents directory. There is nothing else to do. That's for Windows users. I don't know about Mac users.
Win64 - But it keeps giving me the message that my it has been reverted to Trial version because my license is valid through ...

Thank you for the fast answer and for the generous license agreement.IDimager wrote:You can install PSU on as many computers as you like, as long as the user is a licensed user.

Re: Laptop as primary PSU home?
Thank you both.
After looking at the "How Many Images Are You Cataloging in PSU" posts I found similar size comparisons that are encouraging.
I am going to miss the screen real estate of the home monitor but perhaps I can hook the laptop up to it from time to time.

Laptop as primary PSU home?
I am just getting started on a large project that will keep me traveling away from my home PC for extended photo shoots. I have always assumed that I would just use the laptop to download images in the hotel at night (as I have been so far) but I am wondering if it would be possible to load PSU onto ...

Re: Newbie - Assigning Labels
Again, Thanks!
No, the client will not have access to PSU yhey will have access to a PhotoDeck site. The site has search functions that I am assuming* (*again) use the keywords embedded in the images.
Employing synonyms wasn't even on my radar thanks I will look into it as I move forward ...

Yes, Thanks!IDimager wrote:Jeff, a short pointer. To write to the files again, select the thumbs, right click on a selected thumb, Metadata, Save metadata to file (Ctrl-S)
Is that what you need?

Re: Newbie - Assigning Labels
Thanks all.
Perhaps my assumption about keyword order was wrong as Vlad suggested.
Essentially, the end images (product) can all look the same, a bathroom in NJ can look like another bathroom in NJ and also like a bathroom in MD, but the client needs to keep them assigned to the proper site.
What ...

Newbie - Assigning Labels
I am misunderstanding some basic procedures.
I am creating a client database and want to assign catalog labels that follow the catalog tree structure that I create. I found out that I did not have the "Assign Parent Labels" enabled under preferences. I have enabled it now but am not sure how to fix ...

Re: How to store DxO Optics Pro sidecar files (.dop)
For RawTherapee file would be saved as 'IMG0001.CR2.pp3' in the same folder as the raw file.
However I don't want to slow down PSU for everyone. If there is a workaround I'd rather do that.
Thanks,
Jeff F

Re: How to store DxO Optics Pro sidecar files (.dop)
For the next update I'll add the dop extension as a sidecar extension. That way, PSU will always keep the dop file together with the raw file that it belongs to
RawTherapee's sidecar is (.pp3)
If the extension is not already in PSU would it be possible to include while you are adding DxO's ...

Of Catalog Labels, Custom Input Fields, and keywords…
As I mentioned in another thread most of my work consists of composited images of one sort or another be it HDR, Focus Stacking or Panoramas. I generate large collections of nearly identical images so have obsessed over file naming in an effort to keep track of these ‘similar’ files.
I also ...

From what you're saying, it sounds like Photo Supreme plays a very minor role in your workflows. It sounds like you only use it to label your files and perhaps add some descriptive metadata. Is that correct?
